FICPI (Fédération Internationale Des Conseils En Propriété Intellectuelle/International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys) is a non-political, world-wide organization of intellectual property professionals (attorneys and agents) in private practice. FICPI has approximately 5,000 members from more than 80 countries and regions. Members' qualifications, reliability, and professional standing are well established. Their clients span all types and sizes of corporations, multi-national companies, small and medium size enterprises, and individual inventors.


FICPI-U.S. is a self-governing, National Section of FICPI for the United States. It is an organization that represents the interests of its members who are intellectual property professionals working in private practice in the United States.

February 28, 2018 - In re Silver / Patent Agent Privilege: The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that privilege applies to patent agents under Texas law. FICPI-US submitted an amicus brief in support of this position.
